Choosing the right exercise ball

Fitness balls are a great tool for training the endurance, strength and balance. The fitness balls are widely used in various fitness exercises, rehabilitation training, in physical therapy and pregnancy exercises. Are you not sure which size fitness ball suits you the best? For making a correct choice in buying a fitness ball you can use the scheme below. 

There are 2 ways to select the right size of ball you need:

  1. Raise your arms forward so they are straight and measure the distance from your shoulder tot the end of the stretched middle finger which is often the longest.
  2. Usually there will be looked at the body length to make the right choice of the ball size.

Of course every human is different when it comes to body proportions such as the length of the legs or upper body. For example, if you are in between 2 ball sizes make the choice to take a size larger, because the ball will lose some length during the use.
