Massage is one of the oldest methods of treatment and an important part of physiotherapy. The Medisana Intensive Percussion Massager ITM is based on the principle of tapping massage. Both massage heads, applied to the body part to be massaged, are moving intermittently with a frequency of 2000 1/min to 3000 1/min, resulting in a tapping movement.
If desired, red light can be added through both of the large massage heads. This is a very pleasant heat treatment, which increases the positive effects of the massage. The ITM radiates the red light through the skin to the underlying tissues. Thereby both massage heads get warm but not hot. The red light of the Medisana Intensive Percussion Massager ITM creates a particularly pleasant feeling. This singular combination of an intensive massage with red light treatment makes the ITM a very effective Massager.
Optional Massage attachments included with the massager can be added to the massage heads to simulate Point Massage or Acupressure Massage.
